Comfort
and Seclusion in a Rustic Setting
The Boathouse sleeps six adults. The lakeside
bedroom has a queen bed and the larger bedroom has a queen bed and
a twin sized bunkbed. Both bedrooms have closets and dressers so you don't
have to dress out of your suitcase. Generous windows and a sliding door
in each bedroom provide plenty of light, with views of the lake and forest,
as well as private access to the outside. The larger bedroom has ample
space for a table that often becomes the site for kids' epic monopoly
games. We supply sheets, pillows and blankets. There are lots of places
in the Boathouse for kids to flop down with sleeping bags on the carpeted
floors.
Room to relax
The living
room is one large open space with two couches and two separate doors
providing access to the deck. The arrangement allows for lots of togetherness
while at the same time there's room for separate activities. Some guests
can watch a video in one area while others are playing cards at the coffee
table or reading at the couch.
There is no phone at the Boathouse to interrupt your vacation with its
ringing, but if you prefer the interruptions, bring your cell phone.
Kitchen

keeps the cooks in the loop with the dining area and living room in view.
We remodeled the Boathouse in 1999 and outfitted the kitchen
with contemporary appliances including an electric range and oven, refrigerator,
dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and garbage disposal. We
supply all the utensils, cookware and tableware that you'll need, with
service for eight.
Bath and Laundry
The bathroom is well-lit, with a nice mirror and a GFCI outlet for your
hair drier or shaver. There's a full bath with tub and shower, and we
provide towel sets for eight. The washer and dryer make it easy for everybody
to keep clean on your vacation.
The Deck
The Boathouse has a wrap-around deck on the lake side, with a view of
the private dock and swimming area, both within earshot. A stunning view
with no cabins in sight makes the deck a great place to hang out and enjoy
sunsets or for star-gazing. There are plenty of deck chairs and a sun
umbrella, and the propane barbeque is ready for quick and easy grilling.

| Easy access by car; unlike many cabins along the lake, you can drive right up to the Boathouse, so packing and unpacking are a breeze. |

| Easy access by boat or floatplane with your own private dock. If your vehicle has 4 wheel drive you can launch your boat right at East Point. Or you can use the public boat launch at the county docks 4 miles down the road in Harrison. |

| Private beach and swimming area with breakwater. (Remember, It is your responsibility to bring adequate personal floatation devices for everyone in your party.) |

| You're welcome to hike our 100 acre estate which offers everything from beaches to forest and territorial views of the lake and the surrounding hills. |

| The Boathouse has a TV with a VCR and a DVD player. Broadcast reception is available via rabbit ears. (please note that since the digital switch-over viewing is limited to the local NBC affiliate.) |

| Harrison is 4 miles away by boat or 7 by car. There you'll find groceries, video rentals, an ice cream shop, two restaurants, boat and car fuel and a public boat launch. |

| Three miles across the lake in the throat of Rockford Bay you'll find Black Rock Marina, offering boat fuel, a restaurant and a convenience store. |
|
| Smoking is not allowed in the Boathouse. Pets are allowed, additional charges apply. |

| Motorcycles, ATVs and other off-road vehicles are not allowed on East Point. |
